As we do our research, we come across interesting facts and figures.  So, first we came across the Highland Cow, which is our mascot for 2025, and devised an annual quiz.  It is difficult, so is a challenge.

At Castletown Heritage Centre they have some very interesting artefacts from WWII. Andrew Gutteridge is the guru on all things WWII, so we asked him what this was. We will give a prize to the first person who answers the question right, and Andrew will be the judge.  Ask him.

Meanwhile, on the subject of military paraphernalia, the Parachute Regiment plaque awarded to Cpl Tina Irving Rtd will go to the Union Jack Club in London now that the VE Day festivities are over. 

 

Then we thought we would do an annual haggis hunt, just for fun.  You get the quiach for a year, and a prize....
