The latest Friend of the North Highland Way is Claire Murray from the Dunnet Distillery. She advised about the parking at the Castletown near Jessops bridge. All of these bits of information catch up.
There is also Flow North, who gave us £35 so we could buy the QARANC plaque for Cape Wrath, to match the one at John O Groats. there is Andrew Mackay who gives advice and buys the magazine, of course, Natalie Oag, and all of the people interviewed in the magazines. Walter Mowatt... I could go on and on. However, the person we have spent most time with lately, is David Buchanan of the Blackstairs at Wick.
You join the wine club. We used to write for Top Click on wine and of course have enjoyed the wines in Spain for many years. Keep an eye out for our annual events... we only have two a year now, as the Caithness and Sutherland Walking Festival has been handed over to Active Schools and the Ranger Service, if they want to assist.
